ESS Summer Blog 2025

Hello！This is Miranda, the Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) at Nishineyagawa High School. Are you enjoying your summer vacation? I hope you are staying cool in the summer’s heat!

Even though students are on summer vacation, ESS Club members continue to hold regular meetings. Once or twice a week, we enjoy lunch together while practicing speaking English. Then, we usually play games or listen to music with English lyrics. It is a fun way for students to continue learning even during their time off. We also hosted junior high school students for trial club activities. We had a great time meeting the new students, and together we played ice-breaker games, made summer greeting cards, and ate snacks. I know we will have lots of fun during the second semester, too!

How are you spending your summer vacation? I look forward to seeing all of the wonderful Nishine students after the holiday!

こんにちは！西寝屋川英語指導助手のミランダです！夏休みを楽しんでいますか？暑い夏の中で涼しく過ごしているといいですね！！

西寝屋川の生徒は夏休みに入っていますが、ESS部の部員でいつも通りの定期的なミーティングを行っています。週一回や二回にみんなでお弁当を食べながら英語でお喋りします。そして、ゲームをしたり、英語の歌詞がある音楽を聞いたりしています。生徒の休み期間中でも楽しく習い続ける方法ですね。それから、中学生を部活体験で歓迎しました。新しい顔に会えて、みんなでアイスブレーキングゲームして、英語で暑中見舞いを書いて、お菓子も食べました。二学期も部活でたくさん楽しむと思います！
